Filmmaker Rishi Punjabi is from India. He was raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, where he was born. He worked in the Hindi and Telugu film industries. With the 2014 film Shaadi Ke Side Effects, he launched his still photography career. He eventually entered the field of cinematography. Up until 2006, he assisted others or worked in teams.
He started working as an independent cinematographer after 2006. Both “Sarrainodu” and “Dil Toh Deewana Hai,” both of which were released in 2016, are examples of his works. In 2017, he further performed behind-the-scenes work for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Raag Desh.
He contributed to the Telugu film Jaya Janaki Nayaka, directed by Boyapati Srinu, in addition to Hindi movies. He gained notoriety with the film Yaara.
