Renu, an Indian cinematographer who works in Malayalam films, is formally credited as Renadive. The son of photographer Kallayil Vijayaraghavan and Shyamala Vijayaraghavan, he was born on August 30, 1979, in Kunnamkulam. Renu graduated from the Indian Institute of Photography with a diploma in still photography. He has covered 148 episodes of Verittakazhchakal with V. K. Sreeraman while working as a cinematographer for Kairali TV station.
After working as an assistant cinematographer for the 1999 film Agnisakshi in 2006, he went on to work on films including Photographer, Novel, and Thalappavu. He later collaborated with cinematographer Jibu Jacob on the films Shakespeare M.A. Malayalam, Pranayakalam, and Heartbeats. He joined the Big B (film) crew in 2007 and served as Sameer Thahir’s assistant cinematographer. He also served as an assistant cinematographer for the 2010 movie Anwar. Since then, it has appeared in every film that Amal Neerad has produced and directed. As the DOP for Kullante Bharya in 5 Sundarikal, an anthology of 5 films helmed by various directors, he made his cinematography debut, showcasing his talent.
