Biography:

Ravi Jadhav is a film director, author, producer and actor hailing from India, working in the domains of Marathi and Hindi films. Known as the most popular and influential directors of the Marathi film industry today, he started off his career in the domain of advertising as a creative director, and made his directorial debut through the movie Natarang (2010), which earned the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi, giving him recognition as a unique film director. His other popular movies include Balgandharva, Balak-Palak, Timepass, Timepass 2, Nude, Rampaat, and Banjo, which is a musical drama in Hindi.

In the OTT world, Jadhav is equally successful with his biographical web series “Taali” (2023) starring Sushmita Sen as Gauri Sawant, a transgender activist. His works are appreciated by the critics for their sensitive depiction of themes related to identity, resilience, and social transformation. Besides direction, Jadhav is also known for his work in production, screenplay writing, lyric writing, and acting and is considered one of the best directors of Marathi cinema.
