Biography:

Ratna Sagar, who was born in Gagan Mahal, Hyderabad, Telangana, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from her educational endeavors. But it was the acting craft that drew Ratna Sagar in, and she started her career in performing arts with theater.

Ratna Sagar made her film debut as an actor in the 1987 Telugu film Vivaha Bhojanambu, directed by Jandhyala and produced by Jaya Krishna, following her participation in more than 100 stage productions. Ratna Sagar played a number of roles in Telugu film after receiving a great deal of praise for her portrayal as Suthi Veerabhadra Rao’s wife. She has a couple Tamil movie appearances as well.

Ratna Sagar’s major films are Gautham SSC (2005), Modati Cinema (2005), Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal (1989), Neeku Naaku Pellanta (1988), Chupulu Kalasina Shubhavela (1988), and Karalu Miriyalu (2011). The Nandi Award-winning actress Ratna Sagar, who is most known for her comedic performances in movies, has dabbled in television, appearing in numerous Telugu TV serials.
