Rajkamal is an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil films and television series. He gained recognition as an actor through television serials and made his debut under the guidance of renowned director K. Balachander in the television series “Sahana,” which served as a sequel to the director’s successful 1985 film, “Sindhu Bhairavi.” This collaboration marked the beginning of his journey in the entertainment industry, and he went on to work in numerous television series produced by Kavithalayaa Productions in the 2000s.
In addition to his television career, Rajkamal and his wife, Latha Rao, participated in the dance reality show “Jodi Number One” in 2006. They also appeared together in a song titled “Aaja Meri Soniye” in Venkat Prabhu’s film “Saroja” (2008). Rajkamal’s talent was recognized when he won a Film Fans Association award in 2007 for his exceptional performance in television serials.
Rajkamal eventually transitioned to the world of Tamil cinema, making his debut as a lead actor in the romantic drama film “Sandikuthirai” (2016), which explored the impact of technology and featured a murder mystery. He later starred in “Melnaattu Marumagan” (2018), where he played the role of a tour guide in Mahabalipuram with aspirations of marrying a foreign woman. This shift marked his pursuit of film opportunities after a successful career in television. Additionally, Rajkamal and his wife have two daughters, Lara and Raga, and he introduced “RAJKAMAL (RK) SHOOTING HOUSE” in Maduravayal in 2021, a location available for rent for shooting purposes, such as serials, movies, and ad shows.
