Malayalam film is produced by Indian screenwriter and director Rahul Sadasivan. His work as a horror film director is noteworthy. In Kerala, India’s Palakkad is where Rahul was born. He finished his education at Chandranagar’s Bharatha Matha Higher Secondary School. He attended the London Film Academy to study filmmaking before graduating from the University of South Wales with a master’s degree in animation and visual effects.
Soon after completing his studies at the London Film Academy, Rahul directed his first film, Red Rain (2013), a science fiction movie inspired by Kerala’s red rain phenomena. Although the movie received praise from fans of the genre, it was not a hit with the general public.
Rahul’s second movie, Bhoothakaalam (2022), was released directly to streaming services on SonyLIV nine years later. It helped the horror movie become well-known across the country and received a lot of appreciation for its intricate themes and atmospheric approach. His third movie, Bramayugam (2024), was a high-profile period horror produced by Night Shift Studios, a production firm that was founded specifically to make horror-thiller movies.
Star Mammootty’s antagonistic portrayal and Rahul’s decision to show the entire movie in black and white attracted pre-release interest. Critics gave it positive reviews, and when it was released, it did well at the box office.
