Biography:

Rahul Pandey is a Hindi-language film and digital entertainment screenwriter and director. He has made a mark through grounded writing with a focus on human characterisation, with a special interest in stories that examine mundane socio-realities, relationships, and institution. As a screenwriter, he has contributed to the screenplay of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022) and has also been involved in the development of narratives for films and streaming series.

He has come into prominence as the director of Maamla Legal Hai (2024), the Netflix legal comedy-drama created by Sameer Saxena, starring Ravi Kishan, Naila Grrewal, Nidhi Bisht, Anant V Joshi, and Yashpal Sharma. He reprised the role of director for Season 2 of the series in 2026. The show continues with its satirical depiction of life in Patparganj District Court. He has also directed Amazon Prime Video’s Gram Chikitsalay (2025), the rural comedy-drama starring Amol Parashar and Vinay Pathak. He came back to direct its second season in 2026.
