Rachna Gupta

Biography:

Being a young daughter-in-law who lives a lonely life as a housewife in wait for her husband who works in the city, Poonam, played by Rachna Gupta, was a quietly powerful character. Her journey as an actor was not an accident; rather, it was a deep investigation of she herself.

Her participation in AAGHAAZ at Chandigarh’s DAV College was the beginning of it all. “Alongside that, my studies in Psychology deepened my understanding of human behaviour, enriching my performances with layers of authenticity,” she relates. Theory and practice combined to give Rachna a deep enthusiasm that sent her to New Delhi’s National School of Drama, where she received intense acting instruction.
