Rachana Narayanankutty

Biography:

Rachana Narayanankutty is an Indian actress and television presenter who mainly works in Malayalam films and TV shows. She gained popularity through the TV series Marimayam on Mazhavil Manorama.

Rachana was born on April 1, 1983, in Thrissur City to parents Narayanankutty and Narayani. She completed her schooling from G. G. H. S. Wadakanchery in 2005 and graduated from Sri Vyasa NSS College, Wadakanchery. Before entering the TV industry, she worked as a Communicative English teacher at Devamatha CBSE School in Thrissur.

In 2011, Rachana got married to Arun Sadasivan in an arranged marriage, but the relationship faced difficulties due to mental and physical abuse from her husband. She left her husband’s house after just 19 days of marriage.

Rachana started her acting career with a small role in the 2001 film Theerthadanam. Later, she joined Radio Mango in Thrissur as an RJ, where she was discovered by a producer who cast her in Marimayam. She also hosted the comedy show Comedy Festival on Mazhavil Manorama and appeared in advertisements. Additionally, she served as a judge on the reality show Comedy Express on Asianet and participated in the reality show Star Challenge on Flowers TV.
