Indian child actor Raaghavan, popularly known as Master Raghavan, performs in Telugu and Tamil movies. He made his screen debut alongside Vijay Sethupathi in the 2016 film Sethupathi. Positive reviews have been given to his performances in a number of his films.
Raaghavan made his screen debut as the son of Vijay Sethupathi’s character in the 2016 police drama Sethupathi. Both the movie and Raaghavan’s performance received favorable reviews; one reviewer from Behindwoods.com observed that “the kids brim with pleasant innocence, and energetic performances”.
Additional evaluations from Indiaglitz.com and Sify.com mentioned that Raghavan “has his own mass scene in the climax” and that the “two kids who played as Vijay Sethupathi’s children are too good”. Raaghavan portrayed a younger version of Vijay Sethupathi’s character in his next movie, Rekka (2016). His performance in the music video for the movie’s song “Kannamma” brought him notice.
Throughout the late 2010s, Raaghavan remained a key player in Tamil cinema, frequently playing the younger version of the lead actor in films like Hero (2019), Vaanam Kottattum (2020), and Enemy (2021) or the child of the main character in Bhaskar Oru Rascal (2018) and Maari 2 (2018). In the Telugu movie Uppena (2021), he also played the protagonist’s younger self.
He filmed his portions at Kanchipuram while portraying a younger version of Vikram’s character in Mahaan in 2022. In Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022) and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), directed by Mani Ratnam, Raaghavan plays the Pandya prince.
