Puneet Prakash

Biography:

Puneet Prakash is an Indian filmmaker and commercial director. He works as a filmmaker in advertisements, short films, and digital entertainment. His career started off as a director of television commercials. Over the years he has worked as a director of campaigns for major brands like Gillette, P&G, HUL, Airtel, Honda, MG Motor, Pepsi, LIC, HDFC Life, and BharatPe. For his work in advertisements, he has received much recognition and won accolades from prestigious award shows such as Cannes Lions Silver Award, Spikes Asia Awards, Effie Awards, and Kyoorius Awards.

He has directed short films that have gained recognition such as Mombatti (2011) and Birha: The Journey Back Home (2022). The latter short film of his has received many selections and won awards at international film festivals. Prakash has diversified himself by making his debut in long-form content where he directed the fourth season of Maharani on SonyLIV in 2025, which happens to be his first directorial venture on OTT platform.
