Pulipala Nanda Kishore

Biography:

Pulipala Nanda Kishore is a well-known actor in Telugu serials and movies. He was born in Chilakaluripet, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, but his family relocated to Hyderabad due to his father’s job with the Indian Railways. His father, Pulipala Venkata Ramana Garu, was a stage artist and had previously appeared in the movie “Hyderabad Blues,” which marked Nanda Kishore’s debut film.

Since his school days, Nanda Kishore actively participated in dramas alongside his father, who was his first mentor in acting. During his college years, he joined the Bhumika theater group, led by Garikapati Udhayabanu Garu, a close friend of his father and a railway employee, who became his acting mentor.

Through his involvement with Bhumika Productions, Nanda Kishore learned valuable lessons in discipline, punctuality, and acting. He believes that theater can shape one’s character, emphasizing the importance of being a good human being to become a good artist. He began performing in stage dramas in Telugu and Hindi languages from the 10th grade onwards.

Nanda Kishore transitioned to television serials in 2001, starting with roles in “Athagaru Kotha Kodalu” and “Veluugu Needalu.” His breakthrough came with the serial “Suryavamsham,” followed by “Sravanthi,” which earned him widespread recognition. Despite his success, he remained grounded and continued to explore other facets of entertainment, including hosting shows, participating in dance reality programs, singing in temples, and showcasing his talents as a mimicry artist.

He received encouragement from Thammareddy Baradhwaja Garu, who offered him roles in the serial “Swathi” and the movie “Pothe Poni.” Alongside his acting career, Nanda Kishore ventured into production and direction, earning numerous awards for his contributions to the industry.

Currently, Nanda Kishore is focusing on movies while also appearing in the serial “Kanchana Ganga” on Maa TV. Despite his busy schedule, he remains committed to his craft and continues to captivate audiences with his versatile performances.
