Indian actress Priya Bapat primarily performs in Marathi movies. Her most well-known roles were in the films Kaksparsh and Aamhi Doghi, for which she received the 2013 Screen Awards Best Actress prize, and Happy Journey, for which she received the 2014 Marathi Filmfare Awards Best Actress nomination and the Maharashtra State Film Award. In Marathi cinema, she is among the highest-paid actresses.
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is where Bapat was born. She graduated from Ruia College with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication. In 2011, she wed fellow actor Umesh Kamat.
