Praveen Bennett

Biography:

Praveen Bennett is an Indian television director and he works mostly in the Tamil entertainment field. He started off with the show Kana Kaanum Kaalangal and made his way to become a director. Then, he became one of the major directors for Star Vijay. He earned fame after directing the second and third seasons of the family drama series Saravanan Meenatchi that helped him prove his ability to work on long serial television shows and ensembles. Then, he went ahead and directed the popularly acclaimed Raja Rani (2017–2023) featuring Alya Manasa and Sanjeev Karthick as well as its second season and strengthened his status of being a major Tamil television director.

Further on, Bennett made his way through more successful serials for Star Vijay, like Bharathi Kannamma and Bharathi Kannamma 2, Bommukutty Ammavukku, and Namma Veetu Ponnu. He also directed the successful family drama series Mahanadhi (2023-2026) featuring actors like Lakshmi Priya and Swaminathan Anantharaman. In his recent works, he directed the shows Resort (2026) and Azhagae Azhagu (2026). He is known for being able to handle family drama, romance and relationship-related plots.
