Prashant Singh

Biography:

Prashant Singh is an Indian filmmaker, author, and director from the Hindi film industry. He started his career as an assistant director in movies like Bas Ek Pal, Aladin, Raanjhanaa, Tanu Weds Manu, and Issaq. He later started directing shows for television like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. In both his works, he showcased his skills as a storyteller.

Singh made his feature debut in 2019 with the romantic comedy Jabariya Jodi, which starred Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra. Then, in 2020, he directed State of Siege: 26/11 as part of ZEE5’s first-ever OTT action-thriller. Based on the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the series is known for its realistic portrayal of the National Security Guard’s operation in the series. It received acclaim for its fast-paced narrative style and realistic story. Famous for his works that blend commercial entertainment and realistic storytelling, Prashant Singh is a versatile filmmaker who has done films, television and OTT projects with drama, action, romance, and socially relevant stories.
