Actor Prakash Bare is from India and specializes in Malayalam, English, and other south Indian languages. Prakash has appeared in almost 30 films helmed by some of the most renowned directors, beginning with the 2010 Malayalam movie Sufi Paranja Katha. He is currently a live presence in the theatrical and art house film scenes in South India. In addition, Prakash is an entrepreneur and technologist with a focus on media creation, software, VLSI, etc. As a social activist, Prakash is active in Kasaragod’s Endosulfan battle and serves as president of CERV Collectives, which, through a legal campaign, obtained ₹5 lakhs in interim compensation for over 6000 impacted people.
Raised in the small Kannur district village of Chirakkal, Prakash completed his pre-university education at Kamala Nehru UP School, Govt Model High School, Valapattanam, and S. N. College, Kannur. He graduated from NSS College of Engineering in Palakkad, Kerala, with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. During his college years, Prakash participated in theater and received numerous honors, including the Best Actor title at the Calicut University Interzone Arts Festival. After earning a master’s degree in microelectronics from IIT Kanpur, he worked as a technologist and businessman in the microchip design and automation sector for 15 years in Silicon Valley, California.
