Ramakrishnan Nallur and Renuka Kalipurayath, originally from Palakkad, Kerala, welcomed Pradeep into the world in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His father was an amateur photographer, which sparked his interest in the arts and photography at a young age. Union Christian School in Chennai is where he finished his education. Later, he enrolled in the University of Madras-affiliated SRM Arts and Science College in Chennai to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communications. He became an advertisement filmmaker after he met Sharat Haridasan by coincidence. He began his career as an independent assistant director for commercial filmmakers such as Jabbar Kallarakkal. His big break came, though, when he was hired as a producer and director for the Malayalam rock group Avial.
Indian advertising director, cinematographer, and filmmaker Pradeep Kalipurayath is primarily recognized for his work in corporate films and advertisements from the south of India. In 2005, he created and directed a music video featuring “Avial,” the first Malayalam rock band from India. The band went on to become a global hit. This was his first taste of fame. It was among the first videos on YouTube to gain popularity in India. Poorman Productions has been producing television series, documentaries, and commercials since 2006.
