Biography:

Actor Pradeep Chandrasekharan Nair, better known by his stage as Pradeep Chandran, is an Indian who works in Malayalam movies and television shows. His most well-known roles are that of DCP Abhiram IPS in the Malayalam television series Karuthamuthu and Kunjali Marakkar in the 2010 teleseries “Kunjali Marakkar.”

Pradeep was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, to Valsala C. Nair and Chandrasekharan Nair, a retired director from the Kerala Police Department’s Short Hand Bureau of Special Branch CID. His brother Pramod Chandran is older than him. Before going into the film industry, Pradeep worked for an insurance company in Bangalore after earning his master’s degree in business administration from VLB Janakiammal College of Engineering and Technology, Anna University.

In the 2007 film Major Ravi’s Mission 90 Days, Pradeep debuted as an actor, costarring as a commando alongside Mammooty, the lead investigator. Following this, he starred in other films, including Drishyam, 12th Man, Lokpal, Geethaanjali, Loham, Oppam, Kurukshetra, Kandahar, and Ividam Swargamanu.In numerous of his films, he has appeared alongside actor Mohanlal on screen. Additionally, Pradeep performed in the Sanskrit film Madhurasmitham in his role as an IAS Officer, where he is shown motivating pupils with life teachings.

Pradeep debuted on television in 2010 with the Asianet series “Kunjali Marakkar,” for which he was honored with the Best Debut Actor Asianet Television Award in 2011. In 2017, Pradeep’s most noteworthy television role was in the Malayalam television series Karuthamuthu, where he played DCP Abhiram IPS. This role helped to popularize Pradeep among the Malayalee audience. He signed up for the Malayalam reality TV series Bigg Boss Season 2 in January 2020.
