Poornima Indrajith, originally Poornima Mohan, is an Indian actress and television presenter known primarily for her work in Malayalam cinema.
Born into a Tamil family settled in Kerala, Poornima is the daughter of Mohan, a lawyer, and Shanthi, who runs a dance school. She has a younger sister named Priya Mohan, who is also an actress.
Poornima is married to actor Indrajith Sukumaran, with whom she has two daughters, including singer Prarthana Indrajith. She is also the daughter-in-law of the late Sukumaran and Mallika Sukumaran, and her brother-in-law is Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Poornima began her career as a model before transitioning to acting. She gained recognition for her role in the successful Tamil TV serial “Kolangal” and later appeared in various Malayalam TV serials. She ventured into supporting roles in movies such as “Meghamalhar” (2001), “Valliettan” (2000), and “Randam Bhavam” (2001).
After a hiatus of 17 years, Poornima made a comeback with the film “Virus,” which was well-received and featured in The Hindu’s list of top 25 Malayalam films of the decade.
