Pearle Maaney

Biography:

Pearle Maaney, born on May 28, 1989, is a versatile Indian personality known for her roles as an actress, lyricist, YouTuber, and television presenter in Malayalam shows. Raised in a Syro-Malabar Syrian Christian joint family in Kochi with roots in Chowara, Pearle spent her formative years in Kerala. She received her schooling from Holy Angel’s Convent Trivandrum and Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, and pursued her graduation in media studies from Christ University, Bangalore. Her parents hail from Thrissur.

Pearle’s career journey began with anchoring over 250 episodes of the music show “Yes Jukebox” on the Malayalam television channel Yes Indiavision. She further showcased her talent by hosting “Taste of Kerala,” a travel-based cookery show on Amrita TV under the stage name Serah. Notably, she replaced Jewel Mary as the host of the dance reality show “GumOn D2” on Mazhavil Manorama in October 2014, alongside Govind Padmasoorya. Additionally, she hosted the second season of the Kaumudy TV program “Cinema Company.”

In 2018, Pearle gained widespread recognition as the first runner-up of the inaugural season of the reality show “Bigg Boss” on Asianet. She made headlines for being the only female contestant to complete 100 days in the house. During the show, she formed a romantic relationship with co-contestant Srinish Aravind, culminating in their engagement on January 17, 2019. The couple tied the knot on May 5, 2019, following Christian customs, and had a Hindu wedding ceremony on May 8, 2019. They are blessed with two daughters, Nila and Nitara, born on March 20, 2021, and January 13, 2024, respectively.
