Pandiraaj

Biography:

Pandiraaj was raised at Virachilai Township, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, India, after being born on June 7, 1976. In 1996, he relocated to Chennai after completing his education. He was a “office-boy” for K. Bhagyaraj, the director. He contributed a number of short pieces to the renowned Tamil publication Bhagya in his early years. His love in filmmaking grew over time, and after overcoming several obstacles, he was given the opportunity to work as Cheran’s assistant director. Later, he assisted Chimbu Deven and Thangar Bachan in six movies.

Indian film director, producer, and writer Pandiraaj (officially credited and referred to as Pandiraj) works in Tamil cinema. He went on to direct other commercially successful movies after his 2009 debut feature, Pasanga, won two National feature Awards. He has received numerous honors, including five Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and two National Film Awards.
