Pacharo Mzembe
Biography:
Mzembe was born in Zimbabwe, but his parents are from Malawi. At the age of six, he moved to Queensland in Australia. After getting accepted at the age of 17, Mzembe graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). In order to draw attention to the disparity in educational chances for underprivileged youngsters in Australia and around the world, he organized and called the Run of Awareness, a run across Australia in the summer of 2012. Mzembe began his career in theater, but since then, he has acted in a number of films and television shows, such as Monster Problems, Here Come the Habibs on Channel Nine, Harrow on ABC, and Safe Harbour on SBS. He performed on stage as Martin Luther King Jr. in The Mountaintop and Prize Fighter, for which he was nominated for the Sydney Theatre and Helpmann Awards and won a Green Room Award for his portrayal of a former child soldier who is now a boxer contender.
