Nithin Sathya is an Indian actor and film producer, has primarily made his mark in the Tamil film industry. His cinematic journey began in 2003 with his debut in Kalatpadai, directed by J. Ramesh. Notably, he portrayed a small role alongside Kamal Hassan in the Tamil comedy film Vasool Raja MBBS, directed by Saran. Another significant project was Ji (2005), where he acted alongside Ajith Kumar under the direction of N. Linguswamy.
In the critically acclaimed psychological thriller Satham Podathey (2007), Nithin Sathya showcased his versatility by playing the antagonist, Rathnavel Kalidas, a psychopathic villain. The film, written and directed by Vasanth, starred Pritviraj, Padmapriya, and Suhasini. His filmography also includes Raman Thediya Seethai and Pandhayam (2007), where he shared the screen with actor Vijay.
Nithin Sathya achieved a breakthrough with his role as Palani in Chennai 600028, a sports drama film directed by Venkat Prabhu, who is a close associate and friend. The film, well-received by critics, marked a turning point in his acting career. He reprised the same role in its sequel, Chennai 600028 II, and also served as the executive producer for R. K. Nagar, a film starring Vaibhav, produced by Venkat Prabhu. Under his production house Shvedh, Nithin Sathya released the movie Jarugandi in 2018.
Aside from his contributions to the film industry, Nithin Sathya pursued his education at Gill Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai and earned a master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in International Marketing from the London School of Commerce. In 2003, he decided to venture into acting, marking the beginning of his acting career.
His filmography includes various roles alongside renowned actors like Ajith Kumar and Vikram in Ji and Majaa, respectively. Noteworthy projects include playing a reformed thief in Raman Thediya Seethai, a self-centered son in Ammani, and a call taxi driver in Mayanginen Thayanginen. His association with director Venkat Prabhu continued with films like Biriyani (2013), Aranmanai (2014), and the sequel Chennai 600028 II (2016).
Transitioning from acting roles, Nithin Sathya founded his production house named Shvedh. The first film released under this banner was Jarugandi. Subsequent projects include the thriller Lock Up and a romantic comedy titled Kadhal Conditions Apply, scheduled for release in September 2023.
