Nick Chuba is well-known for Dr. Death (2021), Thelma (2024), and Shōgun (2024). Nick, a television and movie composer from Los Angeles, is nominated for an Emmy. Following his studies at USC’s Thornton School of Music, he started working for Atticus Ross, with whom he has collaborated on many projects since 2014. Nick’s most recent works include the soundtracks for “Dr. Death” (Peacock), “The Girl From Plainville” (Hulu), and Operation Varsity Blues (Netflix) with Leopold Ross, before “Shogun” (FX) with Atticus and Ross.
Additionally, Nick has written the music for a number of independent motion pictures, including as the 2024 Berlinale premiere of The Strangers Case and the horror movie Appendage (available on Hulu). Nick most recently wrote the music for the action-comedy Thelma, which starred June Squibb and debuted at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Magnolia Pictures is releasing the film in theaters across the country this summer.
