Neha Dhupia, an Indian actress, model, and former beauty pageant winner, clinched the Femina Miss India title in 2002 and represented India at Miss Universe 2002. Despite an initial inclination towards the Indian Foreign Service, she transitioned to acting after her success in the pageant circuit.
Her journey in entertainment began with a role in the New Delhi play Graffiti, followed by appearances in a music video for the Indipop band Euphoria and various advertisement campaigns. She ventured into television with the serial Rajdhani before winning the Miss India title.
Dhupia’s Bollywood debut came in the 2003 film Qayamat: City Under Threat, followed by notable roles in movies like Julie and Sheesha. While some films didn’t fare well commercially, she found success with projects like Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Shootout at Lokhandwala, and Dus Kahaniyaan.
Over the years, she took on supporting roles in films such as Chup Chup Ke, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Mithya, Maharathi, Singh Is Kinng, and Dasvidaniya. In 2011, she portrayed Eva Braun in the film Dear Friend Hitler.
Born on August 27, 1980, in Kochi, India, to a Punjabi Sikh family, Dhupia has been actively involved in philanthropy, participating in events like the Mumbai Marathon to support charitable causes. She tied the knot with actor Angad Bedi in 2018, and the couple welcomed their daughter Mehr Dhupia Bedi in November 2018. They welcomed their second child, a son named Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi, in October 2021.
