Actor Nathan Jones was born in Australia on August 21, 1970. Between 2002 and 2003, he worked as a professional wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In World Wrestling All-Stars, he previously held the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. He also sided with The Undertaker on the WWE’s SmackDown program.
Jones debuted in a motion picture alongside Jackie Chan in First Strike (1996). In the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road and its 2024 prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Jones portrayed Rictus Erectus. Additionally, he played antagonists in movies like Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Mortal Kombat (2021), Conan the Barbarian (2011), Troy (2004), Tom-Yum-Goong (2005), Fearless (2006), and so on.
Jones was born in Queensland, Australia’s Gold Coast. Prior to beginning his professional wrestling career, Jones, at 21 years old, was convicted of eight armed robberies between 1985 and 1987—two of which took place in Tasmania—and received a 16-year term at Boggo Road Gaol.
He became one of Australia’s most wanted men during the robberies, and he spent seven years in a maximum-security jail. Jones was placed on work release for a year in 1994 and was then released at the age of 28. He was introduced to the sport of powerlifting while incarcerated. During this period, he is also said to have started taking steroids. He quickly rose to the title of Australia’s National Powerlifting Champion.
