Biography:

Nalinikanth is an acclaimed Indian actor renowned for his prominent contributions to Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. His debut took place in the 1980 movie “Kadhal Kadhal Kadhal,” and he has accumulated an impressive filmography with over 100 films to his credit. Nalinikanth initially gained recognition as a popular antagonist, often drawing comparisons to Rajinikanth due to his physical resemblance. Notable among his works are movies like “Mundhanai Mudichu,” “Raasukkutti,” “Mangamma Sapatham,” “Rudhra,” “Puthupatti Ponnuthaye,” “Enga Muthalali,” “Raja Enga Raja,” and “Yaamirukka Bayamey.”

Nalinikanth’s journey in the film industry began with his introduction to Telugu cinema through director Dasari Narayana Rao’s film “Rangoon Rowdy” in 1979. Alongside his roles as an antagonist, he has also played hero roles in movies such as “Azhaithal Varuven” and “Idhayam Pesugirathu.” His versatile acting extended to the Telugu film industry as well, where he appeared in 35 films and enacted various roles, including that of a villain, across movies featuring prominent actors like NTR, Nageswara Rao, Sobhan Babu, Balakrishna, and Chiranjeevi.

Apart from his film career, Nalinikanth made a transition to producing serials on television when his acting endeavors did not yield the desired results. He produced a range of Tamil and Telugu serials for channels like Sun TV, Vijay TV, Gemini TV, and Maa TV. Some of the serials he produced include “Mandhira Punnagai,” “Kaatrukkenna Veli” (Star Vijay), where he portrayed the character Varadharajan (Vennila’s father), and “Marmadesam” (Rahasyam), where he appeared as Annamalai.
