Nalan Kumarasamy

Biography:

Nalan Kumarasamy Born in Thiruvananthapalli, Tamil Nadu, India, on October 25, 1980, He completed his education at Sastra University, Thanjavur, for his M.Tech, after earning his B.E. in mechanical engineering at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE), Chennai. He also attended Campion High School in Tiruchirappalli. He actively participated in IIT Sarang and other cultural events during his time in college.

Indian filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy is employed in the Tamil film industry. He began his career making short films and was the winner of the Naalaya Iyakunar first season title. In 2013, he made his big screen debut in the Tamil film Soodhu Kavvum. When Nalan Kumarasamy learned about Naalaya Iyakunar, he was interested in real estate and event planning. The deadline was in just ten days. He then took a meta approach, creating the short film Oru Padam Edukkanum, which is about a filmmaker on a deadline.

He proceeded to direct seven additional short films. His final round entry, Nenjukku Neethi, earned him the first prize in season one.
He debuted as a director in 2013 with the film Soodhu Kavvum. The central idea of the movie is how modern society and everyday life have been overtaken by baloney. Sanchita Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi play the main roles.

It was widely praised by critics when it was released on May 1st, and it quickly became a blockbuster. As the sole Tamil film of 2013, Soodhu Kavvum was chosen to be screened at the Zurich Film Festival. He directed a romantic comedy-drama titled Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum (2016). It was the official Korean film My Dear Desperado remake. After receiving favorable reviews from critics, the film debuted in March 2016 and quickly became popular at theaters.
