Nagabhairava Koteswara Rao was a renowned poet, literary critic, and film lyricist who lived from August 15, 1931, until June 14, 2008. On August 15, 1931, in the Prakasam district’s Ravinoothala hamlet, Nagabhairava Koteswara Rao was born into an agrarian family. He began his teaching career at Ravinuthala High School as a secondary school teacher. He thereafter studied the aforementioned subjects by cultivating himself and earned his graduation. On June 14, 2008, Nagabhairava Koteswarara Rao departed from this life following a prolonged period of illness.
Numerous works were written by Nagabhairava Koteswara Rao. Both publications are positioned as college textbooks. He served as Sahitya Akademi’s Telugu expert from 1988 to 1992. In appreciation of his literary contributions, Nagabhairava Koteswara Rao received the Rajalakshmi Foundation Award and the Telugu University Award.
Nagabhairava composed five classical rhymed verses. But he composed spontaneous poetry as well. He also penned plays and novels. Nagabhairava may not have made social welfare and universal love a major focus in his writings. The issues facing the underprivileged communities are given particular consideration.
