Munna Simon, an Indian actor, has made a notable mark in both Malayalam and Tamil cinema with appearances in films like “Gaurisankaram,” “Silandhi,” “Kandein Kadhalai,” and “Raavanan.”

Despite facing initial setbacks with films like “Pallavan,” “Jananam,” and “Unnai Enakku Pudichirukku,” which failed to make an impact at the box office, Munna garnered attention with the 2008 low-budget thriller “Silandhi.” His breakthrough came with the successful “Kandein Kadhalai,” where he shared the screen with Bharath and Tamannaah Bhatia. This success paved the way for him to be signed by renowned Indian director Mani Ratnam for a supporting role in the magnum opus “Raavanan,” alongside eminent artists like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Prithviraj, and Priyamani.

In his personal life, Munna Simon has a familial connection to the film industry, being the nephew of the accomplished Malayalam actress Jayabharathi. He completed his graduation from U.C College and pursued further studies in physiotherapy at the School of Medical Education in Angamaly. Munna faced a personal tragedy with the untimely death of his only brother, Dominic Simon, who succumbed to pneumonia on May 20, 2013. Dominic was pursuing an M.Sc. in visual communications at SRM College in Chennai.
