Radhamonal Naval, known as Monal, was an Indian actress born on January 26, 1981, in Delhi. She came from a family with connections to the entertainment industry, being the younger sister of popular actress Simran. Monal completed her education, earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mithibai College in Bombay. She also dabbled in modeling, fashion shows, and beauty contests before venturing into acting.
Monal made her film debut in 2001, initially garnering attention for reported tantrums on set. She was signed for the movie “Badri” alongside actor Vijay, but her first release was “Paarvai Ondre Pothume” with Kunal. She continued to appear in several films, achieving moderate success at the box office. At the time of her tragic death, she was working on “Dadagiri,” a Telugu film, and “Best of Luck,” a Tamil film.
Sadly, Monal’s life was cut short when she took her own life on April 14, 2002, at the age of 21. Her death was a shock to the entertainment industry. Her sister, Simran, later suggested that choreographer Prasanna Sujit may have been a possible reason for her suicide, as he had recently ended a relationship with Monal. This tragedy marked the untimely end of a promising young actress’s career.
