Mohnish Bahl is an Indian actor known for his work in both cinema and television. He made his acting debut with a supporting role in the film Bekarar, featuring Padmini Kolhapure and Sanjay Dutt, though it was met with critical and commercial disappointment. His next project, Teri Bahon Mein, a remake of The Blue Lagoon with Ayesha Dutt, also failed to perform well.
Despite a string of unsuccessful films, Bahl achieved notable success with Purana Mandir, which, despite being labeled as a B-grade film, was commercially successful. His breakthrough came with the 1999 film Hum Saath-Saath Hain, which significantly boosted his career. Over his career, Bahl has appeared in over 100 films and has been nominated for two Filmfare Awards.
Born on 14 August 1961 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Bahl is the only son of renowned actress Nutan and Lt. Cdr. Rajnish Bahl. He is part of the illustrious Mukherjee-Samarth family. Mohnish Bahl married actress Aarti Bahl (formerly Ekta Sohini) on 23 April 1992. The couple has two children: actress Pranutan Bahl and Krishaa Bahl.
