An Indian cricketer who played in Test and One-Day International matches, Mohammad Kaif was born on December 1, 1980. After leading the Indian national under-19 cricket team to victory in the Under-19 World Cup in 2000, he was promoted to the national squad based on his achievements at the Under-19 level. In addition to playing for India, Kaif was a member of the team that finished second in the 2003 Cricket World Cup and was one of the joint champions of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy, which was also shared with Sri Lanka. He is considered one of India’s best field players.
