Indian singer, lyricist-composer, and music director Mithun Sharma is also referred to as Mithoon. Mithoon wrote the Hindi song “Tum Hi Ho” for the romantic 2013 Bollywood movie Aashiqui 2. At the 59th Filmfare Awards, Mithoon was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist in 2014 after winning the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director. His song “Sanam Re” is one of the most popular Hindi songs on YouTube. The song received the Global Indian Music Academy Awards’ “Most Streamed Song of 2016” honor. Mithoon introduced Arijit Singh and Mohammad Irfan Ali as co-singers in the song “Phir Mohabbat” in 2011.
At the age of eleven, Mithoon began taking music lessons. Due to his father’s continued busy schedule, he sent him to educated individuals to train himself. His father kept a tight eye on him and would frequently observe his practice. He also composed songs that his father frequently listened to. He wed Palak Muchhal, a playback vocalist, on November 6, 2022.
