Megha Akash, born on October 26, 1995, is an Indian actress known for her work predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. She stepped into the film industry with her debut in the Telugu film “Lie” in 2017. She also marked her presence in Tamil cinema with “Petta” and in Hindi cinema with “Satellite Shankar,” both released in 2019. Additionally, she has appeared in films like “Raja Raja Chora” (2021) and “Dear Megha” (2021).
Born in Madras, now known as Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Megha hails from a mixed background, with a Telugu father and a Malayali mother, both working in the advertising industry. She received her education at Lady Andal School in Chennai and graduated with a B. Sc. in Visual Communications from Women’s Christian College, Chennai.
Megha initiated her career in the Tamil film industry with “Oru Pakka Kathai,” which premiered on ZEE5 in December 2020. She showcased her fluency in Tamil by doing her own dubbing for the film. Her debut in Telugu cinema came with the film “Lie” in 2017. Although “Petta” (2019) marked her Tamil film debut, she had already worked on “Enai Noki Paayum Thota” before that.
In the year 2021, Megha Akash appeared in four films. She played the role of Preethi in the Tamil film “Kutty Story.” She also made her second Bollywood appearance in “Radhe” as Nikisha, portraying a police officer. Additionally, she appeared in two Telugu films, “Raja Raja Chora” as Sanjana and “Dear Megha” as Megha.
