Meera Vasudevan is a versatile Indian actress known for her impactful performances across various languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu cinema, as well as television. She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, into a Tamil family to parents Vasudevan and Hemalatha. Meera’s younger sister, Ashwini, also ventured into the entertainment industry, gaining recognition as a child artist.

Following her graduation with a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Psychology, and English Literature, Meera embarked on a successful modeling career, featuring in numerous advertisement campaigns. Her breakthrough came with the ICC Setmax campaign, catapulting her into the limelight and marking her entry into acting.

Meera made her cinematic debut with the 2003 Hindi film “Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula” alongside Milind Soman. Despite facing initial setbacks with failed screen tests, her talent was recognized through notable projects such as the Tamil film “Unnai Saranadainthen,” where her portrayal of Bobby garnered critical acclaim, earning her the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress.

In subsequent years, Meera showcased her acting prowess across various film industries, including memorable roles in films like “Thanmathra,” “Jerry,” and “Oruvan.” Her performance in “Thanmathra” earned her accolades, including the Best Female New Face Award at the 2005 Ujala-Asianet Awards.
