Md Asif made his acting debut in the Tamil film “Thuppakki” in 2012. In the movie, he portrayed the second-in-command of a sleeper cell, a role directed by AR Murugadoss. “Thuppakki” emerged as the highest-grossing film of that year and was later remade in Hindi cinema with Akshay Kumar in the lead role under the title “Holiday.”
In 2013, he took on the role of a Naga Sadhu/Warrior in the Hindi/English film “Kamasutra 3D,” directed by Rupesh Paul. This film holds the distinction of being the first Indian movie entirely shot at sea. While filming “Kamasutra 3D,” Md Asif encountered a significant injury.
