Mark Gatiss, an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, producer, and novelist, was born on October 17, 1966. He has won multiple honours, including two Laurence Olivier Awards, a BAFTA TV Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award. He is most recognised for his stage and screen performances as well as for co-creating television shows with Steven Moffat.
The League of Gentlemen (1999–2002) was a comedy series that Gatiss co-created, co-wrote, and performed in. He played Frank Renfield in the BBC/Netflix drama Dracula (2020) and Mycroft Holmes in the BBC series Sherlock (2010–2017). Additionally, he wrote two episodes of Doctor Who during Russell T.
