Actor, martial artist, and TV personality Mark Alan Dacascos was born in the United States on February 26, 1964. His action film roles include playing Louis Stevens in Only the Strong (1993), the title role in Crying Freeman (1995), Mani in Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), for which he received a nomination for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor, the antagonist Ling in Cradle 2 the Grave (2003), Sharish in Nomad (2005), and assassin Zero in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019). He is a fourth-degree black belt in Wun Hop Kuen Do.
Dacascos is well-known on television for playing Wo Fat on Hawaii Five-0 from 2010 to 2020 and for being “The Chairman” of Food Network’s Iron Chef America series since January 2005. He returned to the role in 2022 on Netflix’s Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend. Dacascos also portrayed Eubulon in Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, Eric Draven in The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, and Kung Lao in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. He participated in Dancing with the Stars’ ninth season as well.
