Biography:

Manya, an Indian actress renowned for her work primarily in Malayalam and Telugu cinema, with a few appearances in Kannada films as well, commenced her acting journey in the realm of Telugu cinema. In the year 2000, her entry into the Malayalam film industry came under the guidance of director Lohithadas when she starred opposite Dileep in the film “Joker.”

The film’s success paved the way for her to explore more opportunities in Malayalam cinema, expanding her horizons beyond her native Telugu language.Born on October 17, 1982, to parents Prahladan and Padmini, Manya spent her early years in England before relocating to South India at the age of nine. Within her family, she has a younger sister named Anjana.

Manya tied the knot with Satya Patel on May 31, 2008, although their marriage later ended in divorce. In 2013, she found love again and married Vikas Bajpai, and together, they welcomed a daughter in 2016.Manya embarked on her career at a young age, delving into modeling when she was just 14. Soon thereafter, she transitioned into acting and went on to grace the screens in more than 40 movies spanning various South Indian languages.

Remarkably, she holds a dual degree in mathematics and statistics, with a minor in quantitative finance. Her pursuit of knowledge extended to earning an MBA from Columbia University. She also ventured into the corporate world, initially working as an Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse in New York and later assuming the role of Vice President at Citi.

In recognition of her talent, Manya received the Drisya Television & Audio Awards’ Best Actress (Special Jury) Award in 2002 for her stellar performance in the Malayalam film “Kanmani,” marking a significant milestone in her acting career.
