Mandana Karimi

Biography:

Karimi was born into a Muslim household in Tehran, Iran, on May 19, 1988. Her mother is Persian, and her father is of Indian and Iranian descent.  She grew up in Tehran. Regarding her relationship with India, she said, “I had come to India many times, visiting my family or for holidays.” Karimi began her career as an air hostess before leaving to focus on modeling. She arrived to Mumbai for three months on a modeling contract in 2010 after working on several international modeling gigs  She stated, “I had a different experience, staying without my family,” in reference to her time in India. I thought it was fantastic! Although I had other engagements all over the world at the time, work was fantastic.

I then made the decision to relocate to Mumbai in order to try acting in 2013. Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor have all appeared in TV ads with Karimi. She appeared as a guest in the movie Roy in February 2015. Her film Bhaag Johnny was released in September of that same year. She also starred as Charles Sobhraj’s assistant in the October 2015 movie Main Aur Charles. On January 22, 2016, Karimi’s next movie, the sexual comedy Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3, was released.
