Mamathi Chari

Biography:

Indian radio host, TV personality, and actress Mamathi Chari was born on December 21, 1978. She primarily works in Tamil movies and TV series. Her roles as an actor in the soap opera Vani Rani and as host of the television program Vanakkam Tamizha have made her extremely well-known.

Mamathi was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on December 21, 1978. She completed her education at Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School before going to I.P. Pavlov to earn her medical degree.

She left the entertainment profession after her divorce and started her own business. 2017 saw her return to the spotlight. But in 2020, she declared that she will permanently leave the broadcast business to concentrate on her studies for a medical degree.

Mamathi began her work with Raj TV as an anchor. In 2007, she was an RJ for Big FM’s Big Vanakkam before going on to anchor a number of TV series. In the 2013 Sun TV serial opera Vani Rani, she made her acting debut.

She performed the antagonistic roles of Jessie and Kokila Saaminathan. Later, she made an appearance on the Sun TV television program Vanakkam Tamizha as a radio jockey.

She was a competitor on the Star Vijay reality series Bigg Boss (Tamil season 2) in 2018, but on the fourteenth day of the program, she was sent out of the house. In 2020, following her departure from the show, she starred in the short-lived web series Time Enna Boss!?

She announced her comeback in 2022, following a two-year break, and was chosen to star with Ajith Kumar and Manju Warrier in a supporting role in the upcoming movie Thunivu.
