Madhu Mantena

Biography:

Madhu Varma Mantena is an Indian film producer and businessman who was born on May 8, 1975. He produces and distributes Bengali, Telugu, and Hindi films

As a youth, Mantena started a record label, which he later sold to Supreme Recording Company. He later became the head of Saregama Films and established Adlabs’ International Operations under Manmohan Shetty’s supervision.

Ghajini, the highest-grossing Indian movie of 2008, was co-produced by Mantena and Allu Aravind. He produced the Bengali play Autograph and the political thrillers Rakht Charitra and Rann in 2010.

For more than ten years, Mantena and actress Nandana Sen were together. In 2015, he wed actress and fashion designer Masaba Gupta in a civil wedding held in Mumbai.  The pair declared that they were going through a trial separation at the end of 2018. In September 2019, the couple’s divorce became formally final. On June 11, 2023, Mantena wed novelist and yoga instructor Ira Trivedi in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Mumbai, which was seen by close friends and family.
