Swedish musician, composer, conductor, songwriter, and record producer Ludwig Emil Tomas Göransson born September 1, 1984 Among the many honors he has received for his efforts in music, film, and television are two Academy Awards, a British Academy Film Award, two Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and four Grammy Awards.
In his capacity as a record producer, he has regularly worked with Childish Gambino, producing his studio albums, including “Awaken, My Love!” and “Camp,” “Because the Internet,” and others. Gambino’s 2018 single “This Is America” received praise and recognition for Göransson’s production work, receiving two Grammy Awards: Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Adele, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Chance the Rapper, Haim, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and Moses Sumney are just a few of the recording artists he has produced.
His first television break came as a composer for the Fox sitcom New Girl (2011–2018) and the NBC comedy series Community (2009–2015). With his score for the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (2019–2020), he made the leap into dramatic work and won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series.
