American actress Linda Carroll Hamilton was born on September 26, 1956. She made her cinematic debut in 1979 and rose to popularity as Sarah Connor in The Terminator (1984) and its two sequels, Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019). She is known for playing strong, stubborn characters. In addition to being nominated for three Golden Globes and one Primetime Emmy, she has received numerous honours, including two Saturn Awards, two MTV Movie Awards, a Satellite Award, and a Romy Award.
Children of the Corn (1984), Black Moon Rising, King Kong Lives (1986), Mr. Destiny (1990), Dante’s Peak (1997), and The Kid & I (2005) are among Hamilton’s other film credits. She portrayed Mary Elizabeth Bartowski on NBC’s Chuck (2010–2012) and Catherine Chandler in Beauty and the Beast (1987–1989). The Night of the Iguana (Berkshire Theatre, 2006) and Laura (Tiffany Theatre, 2000) are two of her stage productions. She has children from both her marriages to director James Cameron and actor Bruce Abbott.
