Lauren J. Irwin

Biography:

Lauren is a multi-talented artist with a diverse background in acting, singing, and dancing. Her journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age when she was handpicked by Martin Charnin to star in the musical ‘Annie’ on London’s West End, beating out thousands of other girls. This early success was followed by a role in the BAFTA award-winning film ‘Heart,’ marking the start of her love for screen acting. She also showcased her versatility by portraying the Artful Dodger in the musical ‘Oliver!’ and later reprising the role of Bet.

As a teenager, Lauren’s passion for music led her to form a teen band with her brother, Steven. Their talent led them to the live final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on national television, subsequently earning them a record deal. Lauren later embarked on a solo career, using her music as a platform to address important issues. She penned the song ‘Stand Tall’ to combat bullying, becoming the face of a government campaign and performing at Westminster for ambassadors from around the world. For her dedication to this cause, she received the title of ‘Anthony Walker Young Citizen of the Year’ and was invited to the United States, where she received a scholarship to the New York Film Academy.

Lauren’s artistic journey continued with work in film and television, including her involvement in the film ‘Senseless.’ Her song ‘Stand Tall’ gained international recognition when it was chosen for the Beijing Olympic Games. In response to a devastating earthquake in Sichuan, she adapted the song into Mandarin and became the sole Western artist to perform at a relief concert for 800 million people. Lauren’s humanitarian work led to her appointment as Youth Ambassador to the United Nations, where she continues to make a difference. Currently residing in Los Angeles, she is actively pursuing her film and music career, with her movie ‘Vagary,’ in which she plays the character Elizabeth Marin, set for release in 2013.
