Throughout his illustrious career spanning over three decades, Kumarimuthu appeared in a staggering 728 films, predominantly in comedic roles. His trademark laughter became a defining characteristic of his performances. In addition to his contributions to the entertainment industry, he was actively involved in politics as a member of the DMK. However, he also faced controversy when he was expelled from the Nadigar Sangam, an actors’ association, due to allegations of making negative remarks about the organization.
