Biography:

Born on August 14, 1975, Kishore Kumar G, known mononymously as Kishore, is a versatile Indian actor prominent in South Indian cinema, including Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu films.

Notably recognized for his portrayal of Veerappan in the Kannada film “Attahasa” in 2013, he gained pan-India acclaim through performances in “The Family Man,” “Ponniyin Selvan: I,” “Ponniyin Selvan: II,” and “Kantara.” Hailing from Channapatna, Karnataka, Kishore completed his education in Kunigal and National College, Bangalore, delving into theatre and Kannada literature.

His journey includes teaching, assisting a fashion designer, and working as a newspaper salesman. Kishore’s film debut in the 2004 Kannada film “Kanti” marked the beginning of a successful career, winning State awards for his roles in “Raakshasa” and “Ulidavaru Kandanthe.” His diverse roles range from a tough elder brother in “Akash” to a forest brigand in “Attahasa.”

Kishore’s Tamil film, “Thilagar,” showcased his acting prowess, and his role in “Echcharikkai” earned critical acclaim.

In 2022, Kishore had a remarkable year with simultaneous releases of “Kantara” and “Ponniyin Selvan: I.” “Kantara” emerged as one of the highest-rated Indian films and the third-highest-grossing Kannada film, while “Ponniyin Selvan: I” grossed over 500 crores, solidifying Kishore’s stature in the industry.
