Indian actor Kiran Karmarkar was born on May 2, 1958 and has acted in theater, movies, and television. His depiction of Om Agarwal in the Star Plus television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (2000–2008) is what made him most famous.
Karmarkar began his acting career in 1989 with the Marathi theater Dinmaam . He then had a number of television appearances and commercial appearances before starring in his first Marathi film, Name Nishpaap, alongside renowned Marathi actors Yashwant Dutt, Vinay Apte, and Suhas Joshi. His first significant part was in Ekta Kapoor’s Ghar Ek Mandir. He rose to fame in the television series Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii as Om Agarwal, who played opposite Sakshi Tanwar. The program began airing on Star Plus in 2000.
Karmarkar disappeared from the script when the character was killed. However, the character was recovered and he was spotted in the same role in 2007 as a result of subsequent screenplay alterations. After that, he had a number of parts in TV series. Inspired by Sabeer Bhatia, he played a corporate tycoon in the 2006 television series Saarathi. In 2012, he joined the popular show Uttaran playing a negative role of Tej Singh
Karmarkar also landed minor parts in Bollywood movies. He has also appeared in plays and movies in Marathi. He appeared in the comedy piece Merra Naam Joker in 2006, opposite actress Bhavana Balsavar. Shubha Khote directed the play. He starred opposite Shefali Shah in the Hindi play Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai…! in 2010. Chandrakant Kulkarni directed the play. For his role in the film Kshanokshani he also won the Maharashtra State Film Award. Soon, Kiran will be portraying a role in the upcoming StarPlus series, Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana.
