Actor Kim Bodnia was born in Denmark on April 12, 1965. His portrayal of police officer Martin Rohde in the Scandinavian crime drama series The Bridge brought him widespread recognition. His leading roles as drug dealer Frank in Pusher, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn in 1996, and Konstantin in the spy thriller TV series Killing Eve (2018–2022) have also earned him recognition on a global scale.
He has received two Robert Awards for Best Leading TV Actor in The Bridge and Best Supporting Actor in Nightwatch (1994), among other honors and nominations. He also won the Monte-Carlo Television Festival’s Golden Nymph Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for the latter. Bodnia was nominated for a British Academy Television Award in 2019 for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Killing Eve. He also won the Bodil Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2009 for the movie Terribly Happy (2007).
